At it again

I have been absent from logging my commutes for going on 4 Months. For that time period, I have cycled to/from work maybe 20 times. The demand of work, and a hectic home life cut down on spending time on two wheels. Well that changed late in April. The project I was working on for the last year, finally wrapped up. This allowed me to return to a more normal work schedule of 8 to 5. Home life is still what it is, but with longer hours of sunlight, I am able to spend more time with the Kids and wife.

So with that out in the air, let discuss my return to cycling on a regular basis. Yesterday was only the 2nd time I did my old 20 mile commute. For the ride in I crossed paths with two other cyclist (nice), a jogger, and a deer(not nice). The Indian Creek Trail is in need of some clean up at af few of the Bridge under passes including at Wornall, 103rd east of State Line, 103rd West of Metcalf, Marty St., and at Conser. Mostly it's just hard packed dirt, but as I have found out that once the rains come, the packed dirt turns into a peanut butter like soup to cycle through.

A nice noticeable changes is the new pavement for the uphill slog in the Red Bridge residential area. This section was in need of some care and it is now a pleasure to spin up the smooth surface.

That's all I have from yesterday. Tomorrow's the next chance I have to cycle, so till then.
