That was what I was thinking yesterday as I take off from work to head back to the truck. The trail is a soggy, leaf infested skating rink. To top that off, there was a nice hazy mist that clinged to anything that moved, me included. On the bright side I did break in the 02 rain suit. Fashion savvy, I'm not but I did manage to keep from getting soaked by the drizzle/mist. Yesterday was also the first day of wearing glasses until I can get back into the eye doctor. Seems that yours truly has managed to get a viral eye infection. This mean no contacts, and eye drops to help me recover.
The glasses presented another form of entertainment with the mist and temps. I was either fogging over, or having my visibility cut in half due to condensation on the glasses. Once home, I reapplied a coating of anti fogging agent which seemed to help for today's ride. This morning's ride presented similar conditions to last nights ride at the start. Luck for me, the conditions changed a couple of miles into the ride. I also changed the attire selection, droping the fleece jacket, for a sweat shirt. This still seemed to be a little much, and for the ride home, I stayed with just the base layer, and the rain jacket. The bottom half's coverage included bike shorts, wind breaker and rain pants. Just right.
That's all for now
ta ta.
