Rain, Rain, Go away.

Woke this morning to the lovely sound of pouring rain. Contemplated rolling back over and going back to sleep, but managed to drag myself out of bed. I knew last night that I would be riding in the rain based on the weather forecast. My co-workers have began to seriously questioning my sanity, and I'm not to sure I blame them. By the time I rolled up to the building, I might have been mistaken for a overgrown drowned rat.

But the rain provided me with the opportunity to tried something new to attempt to keep the rack trunk bag dry. Took a grocery bag, and wrapped it around the trunk bag. I must say, this worked rather well. The last time I rode with pouring rain, the bag was soaked including some of the items inside.

With riding in the rain becoming an every day occurrence, I am decided that rain suite is needed. I just ordered the O2 raingear. It will not be here soon enough.

On the ride home, I hit a pothole a little hard. Hard enough to throw the back tire out of true. I found that riding a bike that shimmies and shakes more than a hoola dancer quit unnerving. I will work on straightening it tomorrow night, or Friday.

My observation for the day:

If there is rain, the trail underpass at Wornal will flood.

Gotta go,
SJ
