Progress and New pavement.

Took a short detour this morning to see what progress has been made on the Indian Creek flood plain work. I found that the new trail bed has been graded, and crushed gravel added. Progress, but I do have a feeling that there will be delay with the change in the weather. I am really looking forward to having this section reopened. Once it is re-opened, I can cut off about a mile from the commute (including a nasty hill).

Further down the trail, the section just East of Metcalf and 103 St. has a nice stretch of fresh pavement. The trail was pulled out and straightened. This was a really nice surprise to find toward the end of my commute. Now if they can work on a "fix" for the underpass for Wornall.....

Other notable items for the day:

Deer are out, caught sight of two on the rainy way home.

bike count: 7 ( 5 this morning, 2 tonight).
Runner count: 5 (One guy in a rain suite).
Dog count: 0, Just the right number.
Turtle count: no I did not see any turtles, but got you to thinking. : )

Later 'gater,

SJ
