This mornings commute was a nice change to last week's rain infested riding. A cool 51 degrees this morning. As this was the first day back on the bike since Friday of last week, I was privileged to view some of the remains of the flooding. The underpass for Wornall had about 1 inch of muck. No problem as I could see it as I approached. However, I was not as fortunate with the debris by Walt's Mill. I came upon it unexpectedly, but managed to avoid crashing, and running over to much "stuff". Those were the two areas that still showed remnant of Friday's storms.
The other change for the day was I choose to ride College from Null to Lamar and then take Lamar north to the trail. It was good for a change, but not something I will make a habit of doing. Lamar is not very smooth.
The ride home was really pleasant. Perfect 80 degrees, a slight wind, but nothing to complain about. The trail was busy with bikers, walkers, and boarders. The debris from this morning had been cleaned up. Basically a perfect biking day.
