Today marks the first ride of the year. 19 degrees this morning to start the New Year off right. I took most of the month of December off, due to weather, tire issues, and Vacation from work. With that all said, I did manage to get three days in. The last day was the 19th of December. First experience with the new tires. They worked great in the Slush of the morning, but once the temps dropped below freezing, the ice pretty much worked me over.
But that was last year, and today is a new year. I snagged a fleece lined jacket over the Christmas break to add to my ensemble. Proved to be just about right. There are only two or three things i would like to add. Some tights or wicking long johns, insulated water proof shoes, and a balaclava. But I have made due so far, and i can make due some more.
I do have a couple of resolutions for the year
- Ride at lease 3 time for each month
- Mileage goal of 3000
- My first Century
All are goals that should be with in my reach. But I still have the majority of the year to complete.
